Had dinner with my beloved friends.

Aaron got me this Starbucks water bottle i really liked. And i know its pretty nonsensical, but i feel revitalised after drinking water from it. And then I’ll just say. “Hmmm, Revitalised!”.

Events

I wonder what is it about Events Management that really entices me so much. Is it the coordination amongst all the people involved, the sourcing of the different firms to get involved with, the whole logistics, the administration, the relay systems, the outcome, the music, the stress, the budget constraints or is it the smile on the faces of the people that entice me.

And i figured out why sometimes, you need to really lay out your thoughts and brainstorm it properly in order to find out your answer.

I realised, that the beauty behind doing up an event is the satisfaction behind how all those nasty things involved are covered up in such a prestigious manner to make the event look successful. It sounds like a dirty thing, but its beauty to me.

And i might as well pursue what i like sooner. (:

Gone with the wind. I wonder what was all about the little tears and the little pinky promises. You getting away, your secretive life. Well, maybe the talks are the staircase were all a facade, or its just simply the past. Maybe its your obsession with self, or it could be your individualistic character. Somehow, once i seem to be of no value anymore you just get over and done with it.

Our intentions to send you off. And all we got was ignorance. You’re no superstar, i don’t have to suck up to you. So if maybe you think that the trip down along with two of my friends, and two of them who was nice enough to consider the fact that making a trip down along with me is worth their time just to send you off, and yet you brutally just turned us away and make it seem as though we’re tied to some obligations to see you off, i pretty much guess you were wrong.

And at the point in time, it doesn’t matter to me what your intentions were, for all i bother about is the fact that i mean virtually nothing to you anymore, so much for me showing so much concern, and so much for that pathetic promise. It wasn’t a promise as for as i’m concern now, i was just blabbering rubbish that night.

I’m always affected very much by issues related to my friends. It is made worse when the chances of them misunderstanding what your intentions are are high. I spend alot of time trying think of how to put across what my intentions are. And such issues are especially vulnerable when it comes to friends going astray. You see, the whole thing about human behaviour is that when they’re so vulnerable to such issues already cause of their situation, its as though no matter how you put your words across to them, they would probably take it offensively. You can’t point things out to them directly, or indirectly, or could you tell them to do anything or nothing. I feel really helpless. But then again, i dont wanna see them going astray.

Sometimes friendship stuffs are more than what i can handle. Or maybe i just worry too much.

Social Etiquette

I was just reading through Michael’s blog and i realised that within this short period of time since i “left school officially” that did i lost touch with so many of my friends. Well, beside the intrinsic reason behind why i always seemed to have time to meet up with my inner most circle of friends and not any others, i do realised that i really missed alot of them.

All these thoughts got spurred up furthermore when i was thinking about how i would be meeting Jiayu and Felicia tomorrow. I really lost touch with them by a fair (unfair) bit already. And just when i thought that this holidays i could possibly try to catch up with them, many of them are overseas or heading out soon. And one of which got obsessively in love and I’m quite sure we all know what happens next, essentially something not determined by us.

At the end of the day, nothing matters as much as how i feel really comforted that though with all these distance apart, they aren’t that far away after all. On the other hand, i never really understood about how some people can get really self centered in friendships. Maybe a better word would be self obsessive. Fundamentally, we all realise the importance of friends. And we are also able to grasp the feeling of how it is like when friends are taking the betterment out of you but yet i still frequently see that happening. A recent incident about some fabricated stories and statements about the things another didn’t do or say.

I guess, its not only me who share the same sentiments, but i never did get whats the purpose behind such actions. Need for Power, Need for achievement, Need for affiliation, thats what i am thought in school. And truely, i did see some people who seemed to have an overpowering need for all three. Well, before that, i should redefine Need for affiliation as Need for popularity. And i actually have people telling me that nothing is more important than putting yourself before others.

Maybe its for a fact that all these unfavourable traits are simply juxtaposed by my group of friends. Cause all these things are the last things that they will do, thus making me feel even more appalled by what might or rather, what are the others doing. Take in consideration i did not define my scope of “others”.

To want to get a friend, you have to be a friend. You don’t get more popular by proving yourself better than any others, even if you did achieved that, your popularity is of no substance. Neither are you.

Fundamentals of character and upbringing. I shouldn’t deny that as a reason behind this difference in the train of thoughts. But i reckoned that at the end of the days, we all know what about the social etiquette. Once again, define social etiquette.
